This looks like a great place to take yoga and their instructors Roland and Sabine can offer english translation during class. I did want to point out, per an email response from the yoga studio, none of their classes are taught in english.

Hi Dancing Queen

Thanks for the response. The general yoga email box is manned centrally but!

Just to confirm: the Yoga teacher Roland does teach classes in English and German.

There are international students from the US, Poland, Italy, Australia! etc. throughout the various classes, but if there are no international students in a lesson, then yes the classes are only held in German (no point of using English then )

But essentially they are taught in both languages.

Roland's class schedules are:

1. Beginners' Semester Classes - Tuesday 8pm
2. Advanced Yoga - Tuesday 5:45pm
3. General Yoga I - Wednesday 10:30am
4. General Yoga I - Thursday 7:15pm

General Yoga is for students with some previous yoga experience including Hatha etc.

The classes are held and can be paid either per semester, or for new students, you can pay per class and enjoy the benefits and lessons of Iyengar Yoga.

Thanks
Jay

Thanks for the clarification, Jay! I have been having trouble finding classes where the teacher will instruct in english and I am now very happy to have found one :-)

I've been here -- Roland is great and very experienced. The classes are excellent - careful, non-competitive, good/genuine Yoga, relaxed and precise - just the way I like it.

I finally got my german classes rearranged and attended a class last Thursday...unfortunately not knowing that they reduce their class schedule when the schools/univiersities are on break. Roland was not teaching :-( But because about 6 of us showed up for the 7:15 class he usually teaches, Brigitte made a class after her 5:30pm class! It was great and even though she taught in german she was able to clarify in english when needed! Now, I look forward to an english class with Roland! :-)
