Blue/Green registration plates for private vehicle purchases

Hi,

I'm looking at buying a camper van and have seen one that has no registration (license plates) and have been told i need to get a blue trade plate (temporary registration) until i have my own registration plates. Does anyone know how to get hold of one? I've been looking at info and it seems that only vehicle traders and repairers have these plates and they are insured through them. Is it possible that you can get hold of one for a few days from a car dealer etc? I need the plates to be able to drive the van to be assesessed before i intend to buy, and then if i buy to transfer the van from it's current location (in Austria).

I've also read about green registration (transfer) plates that are supposedly available to private persons but can't find any info on these.

Info on IF you can get plates and COSTS (if known) would be greatly appreciated. Need the info before Friday as i'm intending to look at the van then.
