Another good one by the way is www.vienna.at.
But although the name is english, the web is in german. There is an english version for some sections though

For general information, this site has been helpful in the past...

Also there is www.virtualtourist.com - written by travellers and locals (i.e. people like me!)

I would recommend the lonely-planet-guide: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/ ... ria/vienna. There is a (very long) list of all you should have seen in Vienna

A great site to find your way around Vienna if you're going somewhere in the city - www.vor.at

It's in German, but everything is pretty much obvious there - go to Fahrplan (in the left menu), and there it can calculate you an optimal route to anywhere in the city (and outside, I guess) with exact timing - cool for being on time. :)

Hi there!
I arrived to Vienna a couple of days ago - awesome city! A friend of mine did her Erasmus term here and recommended a good info resource: check out http://www.vienna4u.at that contains many good hints and insider infos focused on young pals and students...
Enjoy and let me know if you'd like to connect!
