As many site users might know three of VE's founding pillars are relocating to pastures new and leaving Vienna. The site's founders, PartyMarty and Pirate_Kate are relocating to Vancouver with their three children, having met in Vienna. Without their initiative Vienna Expats would not have been founded. Sunshine, who has been the energy behind many of the group's events and a moderating tour de force has also returned to her native Netherlands after 11 years in Vienna. On behalf of the users of the site I'd like to thank all three of them for their support, wise counsel and friendship over the years - the world is becoming an ever smaller place so no doubt we will all meet again somewhere and somehow. In the meantime we wish you all much happiness, safe travels and happy landings and hope that you'll remember your time in Vienna with great fondness and that you've made many lifelong friends on this stage of your journey.Of course for the community to lose three of its founding pillars in such quick succession is a difficult, however, the site will live on and we hope that we'll be able to organise more events in the very near future. All members are very much invited to organise their own events and we look forward to meeting new members at future gatherings.

They will be missed.
Now "So long and thanks for all the fish" sheesh, we need to update both of your reading lists. Will admit the series of books were good.

Morgenhund couldn't have put it better at least that's what I wanted to write ... if I had a head. Thanks for the friendship and those of us lucky enough to have met you Anoek, Katy and Marty, we surely will miss your wise counsel, enthusiasm and energy to keep this site what it is. Thank you.
